On arrival in Doha, Qatar in August 2011, Bonnie was introduced to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Ministries led by Pastor Tokunbo Balogun and later Pastor Paul Odufuye. It was such a relief for him to be able to fellowship and serve God with music in an Islamic state. His musical skills were clearly evident and he became part of a talented group of musicians and singers. Bonnie was able to play different musical instruments during services like the saxophone, trumpet, keyboards, drums and also directed the choir. He also offered vocal training to members of the choir and together with the music director and the pastor, established a music training programme for parishioners (children & adults) who were interested in learning how to play different musical instruments. During his time at RCCG, he has been privileged to meet and fellowship with the General Overseer (Pastor Enoch Adeboye, also known as Daddy G.O.) and also performed with renowned international gospel musicians like Muyiwa and Riversongz (UK) and Pastor Steve Kuban (USA).
As a good team player, Bonnie worked very closely with the church administration and musicians to organize a gospel concert - "Singspiration" and for the first time in the history of the church, the choir released a gospel CD. Bonnie was also a guest performer during the launching of the Doha Mass Choir and his jazz rendition of "Amazing Grace" on the trumpet made him a favourite in the Christian community.
