A Lasting Impression

  1. Bonnie Jazz Music was great. He was very professional, dressed for the occasion, and worked extremely well on such short notice. The residents loved his trumpet tunes and even danced with him on stage! Such a great time. I recommend booking with Bonnie whenever you need a great performer.

  2. I came to know Mr. Franklyn Johnson Williams (I refer to him as Mr. Bonnie) in the year 2000 at the Ballanta Academy of Music when I registered for Music theory and Trumpet. He was very thorough and disciplined in his approach and above all - he knew his stuff (music). He taught me music theory in practice and the art of trumpet playing. Mr. Bonnie also gave me the opportunity to perform on stage as a soloist and also with an ensemble. He established a brass ensemble known as "Pets & Bones"(two trumpets and two trombones) and also introduced me to the business of music.

Through his teaching I acquired life skills - confidence, teamwork, social skills, responsibility and also to become self-reliant (making money through music). Amongst his many qualities, I was attracted to his love for music, his humility and integrity. I was very blessed to be one of his students and as a result of what he imparted to me, I was admitted to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree (Music) at the Methodist University College in Ghana which I have now completed and I am very grateful to Mr. Johnson-Williams for his mentorship. Because of him, I am now the Director of Music for the Sierra Leone Police Band.

    God bless you sir.

  4. It is with much enthusiasm that I write of the outstanding services of Bonnie Jazz.
He performed at my mother’s 70-year surprise birthday party. His performance far exceeded my expectations. He played classics from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Throughout the evening, I received great reviews from our guests, many of whom requested his business card.

Bonnie Jazz is a 5-star professional. It is for this reason that he will always be a part of my events, and I am happy to recommend his services to anyone.

  10. Franklyn's music teaching method really resonates with our children. They have a love for music and he is developing them to foster and develop their love for music. The growth that we've seen with our two boys has been phenomenal, really impressive. One has a newfound joy in practicing his drums and now aspires to join our church's jr worship team! We were enjoying our youngest practicing "How great is our God" on piano and my wife and I looked at each other and we unanimously agreed that we are doing the right thing by God and our family.
    Thanks Franklyn!

Bonnie feels the music and shares this with his audience! Later we managed to get him as our sons piano teacher. Our son had played several years and wanted to move away from the classical music. Bonnie tought him amazingly fast and also took away the fear of singing while playing an instrument! We wish Bonnie all the best for his future!!! Hopefully our paths will cross again!!

  35. Bonnie was a private guitar teacher to my son Armand (14 years old). What I liked about Bonnie was that he was obviously passionate about music - obvious from his interaction with my son, but also that he could play a range of musical instruments, enjoyed a range of genres, and was involved in music in his professional and private time. He had a very nice way of teaching (not something you find everywhere), and I would highly recommend him.
In Armand's words: "Bonnie was a great guitar teacher. He was patient and interactive. He developed my guitar skills significantly in a short time, and gave me an oppportunity to play songs that I liked"

  36. Bonnie taught music to my three children:
My oldest was busy with piano exam lessons but board with learning music until Bonnie taught the theroy and practice of formal exam music through popular, fun songs.
Bonnie taught my 2nd child how to feel the rhythm of the guitar and play music through hearing the notes. She still follows this method, becoming a better musician even when no teacher is available.
My youngest child was taught to play piano by Bonnie - he took her enthusiasm and grew it, working with her activeness so that playing the piano was as fun as she hoped it would be.
I recommend Bonnie as a teacher for any child, and adults who want learning to be fun.
